Beaded Bracelet Making

This workshop focuses on costume jewellery making, and the skills learned in this class can then be used to make both beaded bracelets and necklaces at home. Participants will use a selection of plated metal beads and findings along with glass, crystal, acrylic and ceramic beads, to make a minimum of three bracelet designs of their own to take home.

Group places are limited to ten participants so that each attendee can access individual support as needed.

Participants will make three different types of bracelet during the workshop - an elastic beaded bracelet, a memory wire beaded bangle, and a clasp bracelet. Participants take home a list of useful tools and supplies with info on where to source these, just in case you want to expand on your new hobby after the class. Disclaimer: Costume jewellery making can be very addictive - you have been warned!

Everything participants need is provided, including beading kits and tools for use during the class. This workshop is suitable for total beginners, as well as more advanced crafters. Learn a new skill, enjoy some lovely company in our cosy and welcoming shop, and maybe even make some new crafty friends while you’re at it!

About Our Workshops

How long is the workshop?
This workshop lasts for two and a half hours.
Do I need to bring anything?

Everything you need to make your bracelets is provided, so you just need to bring yourself. Closed toe shoes are recommended, to avoid dropping any sharp or heavy things on unfortunate toes!

Feel free to bring any beads of your own that you might like to incorporate into your bracelets, or any bracelets you have in need of repair or a restring, as we may be able to fix them.

Where is the workshop held?
At our lovely shop in Galway city – find directions here
Can I keep the bracelets at the end?

Yes, you get to keep and enjoy your bracelets after the class!

How many bracelets do I get to make?
Most people make between three and four bracelets in our two and a half hour class.
What if I need to cancel/change my booking?

You can change or cancel your booking with a full refund up to 48hours before the workshop. If it is less than 48hrs before the workshop, you can transfer your place to another person if you have somebody who would like to go instead of you.

We may be able to provide a refund for your place even up to the day of the booking, if we are able to find somebody to take your place, so please get in touch by phone (text is good!) if it is within 48hrs of the workshop, and we’ll do our best to fill the spot.

It’s the last minute and my sister/friend/Mum would like to come along and join me? Is this possible?
If you have someone you would like to bring along on the day of the workshop, feel free to get in touch by phone/text and check with us, as we may have a last minute spot available should someone else cancel – there’s no harm in asking!
Can we have a private group workshop?

Yes! We are happy to schedule a workshop on a date that suits you, even at short notice, if you have a group of 6 to 12 people to accommodate. Feel free to get in touch by email or phone for group rates, and let us know if you would like to include some wine/tea/chocolates along with beading kits if there is an occasion to celebrate!

Someone under the age of 18 would like to attend, can they?
Yes, absolutely, this class can be attended by people as young as seven. However, anyone under the age of 14 does need to be accompanied by an adult. We use tools including pliers and wire cutters, so we need you there to watch over and help them.
