Beaded Earring Making
This workshop focuses on costume jewellery making, and participants will use a selection of plated metal findings and individual kits full of glass, crystal, acrylic and ceramic beads to create their own designs. Participants make a minimum of three pairs of earrings to take home, and often more than this. Designs can be as simple or as elaborate as participants like, as once you have mastered creating loops in wire, the possibilities and combinations are endless.
Participants take home a list of useful tools and supplies with info on where to source these, just in case you want to expand on your new hobby after the class. Disclaimer: Earring making can be very addictive - you have been warned!
Group places are limited to ten participants so that each attendee can access individual support as needed.
Everything participants need is provided, including beading kits and tools for use during the class. This workshop is suitable for total beginners, as well as more experienced crafters. Learn a new skill, enjoy some lovely company in our cosy and welcoming shop, and maybe even make some new crafty friends while you’re at it!

How long is the workshop?
This workshop lasts for two hours.
Do I need to bring anything?
Everything you need to make your earrings is provided, so you just need to bring yourself. Closed toe shoes are recommended, to avoid dropping any sharp or heavy things on unfortunate toes!
Feel free to bring any beads of your own that you might like to incorporate into your earrings, or any earrings you have in need of repair, as we may be able to fix them.

Can I keep the earrings at the end?
Yes, you get to keep and enjoy your earrings after the class!
How many pairs of earrings do I get to make?
It depends on how fancy and elaborate you want your earrings to be! Most people make between three and six pairs of earrings in our two hour class, sometimes more if they are simple and straightforward designs. It’s really up to you.
What if I need to cancel/change my booking?
You can change or cancel your booking with a full refund up to 48hours before the workshop. If it is less than 48hrs before the workshop, you can transfer your place to another person if you have somebody who would like to go instead of you.
We may be able to provide a refund for your place even up to the day of the booking, if we are able to find somebody to take your place, so please get in touch by phone (text is good!) if it is within 48hrs of the workshop, and we’ll do our best to fill the spot.
It’s the last minute and my sister/friend/Mum would like to come along and join me? Is this possible?
If you have someone you would like to bring along on the day of the workshop, feel free to get in touch by phone/text and check with us, as we may have a last minute spot available should someone else cancel – there’s no harm in asking!
Can we have a private group workshop?
Yes! We are happy to schedule a workshop on a date that suits you, even at short notice, if you have a group of 6 to 12 people to accommodate. Feel free to get in touch by email or phone for group rates, and let us know if you would like to includee some wine/tea/chocolates along with beading kits if there is an occasion to celebrate!
Someone under the age of 18 would like to attend, can they?
Yes, absolutely, this class can be attended by people as young as seven. However, anyone under the age of 14 does need to be accompanied by an adult. We use tools including pliers and wire cutters, so we need you there to watch over and help them.
